Random Commands I need regularly but can't remember

Conda commands

• Remove env: conda remove --name ENV_NAME --all
• Create env from YML: conda env create -f environment.yml
• Create env from nothing: conda create -n NAME
• List envs: conda env list

Python Virtual Env

• Create env: python3 -m venv /path_to_environment/
• Activate env: source /path_to_environment/bin/activate

macOS commands

• keep your display alive: caffeinate -d
• Split panes in Terminal (from StackExchange):
  • New Pane: cmd + d
  • Close Pane: cmd + shift + d
  • Close Pane (Ghostty): cmd + w

imagemagick/mogrify

• Convert all images in a folder to a certain format: mogrify -format DEST_FORMAT *.OG_FORMAT
• Webp lossless conversion: magick convert -define webp:lossless=true
• Both at once: magick mogrify -format webp -define webp:lossless=true *.png

Ruff

• Clean imports (python version of mvn spotless:apply): ruff check --select I --fix .
